We built JMS SiteBridge to make working on a WordPress site with an MCP assistant more direct. The tools live on your WordPress installation, and the optional companion runs on your computer. There is no SiteBridge cloud relay, vendor account, subscription or usage quota.
JMS SiteBridge 0.2 beta is available for $19.99 one-time, with the WordPress plugin, local companion, corresponding source and documentation included. Purchase and downloads happen here through our WordPress store.
Built for real WordPress work
Create draft pages and posts, work with media and WooCommerce products, inspect plugins and settings, and use allowlisted administrative commands. SiteBridge respects the connected WordPress user’s capabilities. Destructive actions use a local review screen, theme work starts in drafts, and the dashboard records recent activity without storing content bodies or credentials.
The optional local companion adds screenshots, public-page inspection, Lighthouse audits and sequential multi-site updates. Native HTTP MCP is available for clients that support configured authentication headers; local stdio is available through the companion. Hosting and AI-provider costs remain separate.
Install it like a WordPress plugin
- Download the installable ZIP after purchase.
- Go to Plugins → Add Plugin → Upload Plugin, install it and activate JMS SiteBridge.
- Open Tools → JMS SiteBridge. Create a dedicated WordPress Application Password and enter it in your local MCP client.
- Run
site_info, verify your site and begin with a draft.
Requires WordPress 6.9+, PHP 8.1+ and HTTPS. The optional companion requires Node.js 22+. Keep credentials out of AI conversations.
A beta you can inspect
This is a 0.2 beta release, with 35 native tools and 44 companion tools. The included verification record documents 14 passing Node tests and 58 passing isolated WordPress checks. It is not independently security audited and has not been tested on every hosting or plugin combination. Start on staging and keep a current backup.
SiteBridge is distributed under GPL-3.0-or-later, with source and third-party notices included. There is no activation serial and no subscription required to use the supplied release.
